2016 Beautiful Day

Beautiful Day

We annually serve the West Tulsa community at a Saturday event called Beautiful Day. On this special day volunteers paint, fix, plant, clean up and beautify…making many improvements within the community and at Mark Twain School. Some of the projects have included outside painting, garden bed landscaping, some construction and a complete revitalization of the Mark Twain School teacher’s lounge and lobby, cleaning Penney Park and establishing a usable baseball field. Beautiful Day typically takes place during April each year.

For 2016, a Sports Camp was added to our traditional slate of projects.  There were 150 children Pre-K through 6th Grade who participated in this basic skills training in Soccer, Football, Basketball, Baseball and kickball.

Beautiful Day has ways the entire family can impact the Mark Twain community with Christ-like love in action. Children Pre-K through 6th grade are able to participate in the Sports Camp along with the Mark Twain children.

Childcare is provided at Redeemer for children 3 and under.

If you missed this year's Beautiful Day, you don't have to wait for 2017.  There are a variety of opportunities throughout the year to touch this community.  Click here to read about some of them.
