South Tulsa Compassion
“…and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness,
and your night will become like the noonday.”
We have found that there are real needs for compassion ministry right here in south Tulsa in addition to food. As we build relationships with families in the Jenks East Elementary community, God continues to reveal additional ways we can help and demonstrate His love beyond the gift of groceries. Would you like to join us?
We deliver groceries and offer encouragement to this community the 4th Sunday of each month after the late service from 12:30-1:30 p.m. (Except when the last Sunday falls on a holiday weekend - on those months we move it up one week.) Simply bring groceries (leave them at the Welcome Center Information Desk) or better yet, come help us deliver and meet families. We also try to meet needs as they arise. Areas we have helped in the past include assistance with moving, packing, job placement, literacy, furniture donations, transportation, tax preparation, budgeting, school supplies, tutoring, and sending kids to summer camp.
We have another ministry as a part of South Tulsa Compassion which we call Redeemer Farms. Click here to learn more about this ministry.
